When you go to the hospital for an Ultrasound (either the regular or "4D" type) they will always take a few snapshots of your baby and print them out for you on strips of thermal paper. Martina carries these around in her purse, so they are always at the ready to share with family and friends.
More than half a century has passed since either of my living my grandparents went through the process Martina and I are going through now. It's magic to look at those little glossy photos and be able to see the next generation of your family before it's even here.
