Baby Steps 5k

Well today was an early foggy Saturday morning for our family but all worth it for the great cause, Baby Steps 5k Memorial Run/Walk. A co-worker and friend, Lurenda Avery, provided the information about this fundraiser event to benefit the Amelia Center and we couldn't pass up the chance to take part.

Daddy planned to run the 5k and Mommy hung back and walked the race while visiting with the ladies and Jillian(who actually slept half of the race). This was Jillian's second race. She actually participated in her first one (Race for the Cure)back in October 2008.

His time was 25:40.3 for this 5K.







His certificate will have to be mailed to him in a week or so.

All in all this was a great way to spend a Saturday, especially since we came home and all took about a 2 hour nap, while it was raining.

Saturday night was going to be a date night for me and hubby, so we had to get our rest. Sittie (Mike's mom) came over to babysit Miss Jillian, which we really appreciated. I am sure Jillian got lots of good playtime in before bed.
