Da-Da In Space

OK, I know this is "Jillian's Journey," but we are going to digress for a moment and focus on Da-Da and his "journey." Last weekend Da-Da was finally able to enjoy his 2008 birthday gift from Ma-Ma: a trip to the Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama for the Adult Space Academy Program. Da-Da grew up in the aftermath of the Apollo program and was right there for the birth of the Space Shuttle. I remember I used to have books on piloting the Space Shuttle and even had a video game that simulated a real Shuttle mission. This was Da-Da's chance to live out his childhood dream of being an astronaut, flying the Space Shuttle, and walking on the moon.
