Race for the Cure

Last Saturday (10/11/08) Jillian participated in her first 5K race: the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This is a 5 kilometer (approx. 3 mile) run/walk that is held in downtown Birmingham each year to benefit breast cancer research & awareness.

Before the race, Jillian made sure to fuel up with a healthy breakfast.

Jillian's determination and competitive spirit were apparent from the start.



And they're off!!



Over 15,000 people showed up to either run or walk the 5 kilometers.



She can't even crawl yet and she's already completed her first 5K!
