Moving on Up

Well, the time has come for our 18 1/2 month old daughter to prepare to "move on up" to Toddler 1 at her school. The letter (dated 2/22/10) says she will try out the Toddler 1 class on Friday, March 5 and make the official move on Monday, March 8.

This news comes with mixed emotion. Excitement over her progress, anticipation of what the next phase holds (she will start more serious potty training with Pull Ups and learning to use a fork and spoon), as well as sadness at her growing up before our eyes. This time really is flying by as they say and though we are overjoyed with the growth of our little girl, we know the days with "the little girl" are numbered as we know them.

She (and I) will miss her lead teacher Ms. Grace, who is expecting her own darling daughter in less than a month, but we are equally excited about meeting Ms. Anna and the other teachers in Toddler 1.

Jillian is loving her school and we are loving what she has learned while there. She is already saying her ABC's and her numbers up to 10, as well as identifying a variety of words, animals, colors, objects,etc. We are amazed at what she has learned and she continues to "move on up" and for that we are thankful!
